The aim of this study w as to investigate if bacterial vaginosis is associated w ith the use of oral contraceptives and Intra Uterine Device (IUD). The study population consisted of 150 women, ·attending for "vaginal discharge" complain at our gynecology unit at SSK Bakırköy Maternity Hospital, in İstanbul. 50 current OC users minimum in a period of six months, 50 IUD users minimum in a period of two years and 50 women control group compared with each others.
